I finally got around to trying the lite image. I'm quite impressed - it's slightly over 1G when expanded. That means the pile of 2G micro SD cards I've rescued from discarded Blackberry phones won't go to waste. (Will that make it a Blackberry Pi?)
Some users might be lost since it doesn't include a windowing system. But I don't mind - I'm quite at home at the command prompt. It's going to be perfect for several of my embedded projects. As soon as I can get Zeros in quantity, of course.
I hope the supply problem gets rectified soon - I keep coming up with new projects!
