Unit Military Matters

Our NJROTC unit consists of approximately 120 cadets organized as a company of three platoons and a staff. Each year a board is held to select the Cadet Company Commander, Executive Officer, Operations Officer, and other key leaders for the upcoming year. The senior cadets who fill these billets run the unit under the guidance and supervision of the Naval Science faculty and have the opportunity to exercise authority, responsibility, and accountability. Cadets in the freshman and sophomore classes first develop self-discipline and "follower-ship" skills and are then introduced to increasingly demanding leadership situations. By participating in NJROTC cadets develop self-confidence, discipline, and life skills that will convey benefits in whatever they do after high school.
