Academics

The Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) is a citizenship and values education program offered at Middletown High School in cooperation with the United States Navy. In addition to the opportunity to develop as leaders, select students may be granted college credit for completing Naval Science III and IV. Nationwide, the program is offered at over 600 schools and over 500,000 students, known as cadets, participate. Cadets must enroll in one Naval Science course each year, make normal progress toward graduation, maintain at least a “C” average, and comply with NJROTC regulations and grooming requirements. They receive elective credit for each course they complete and, in addition, have the opportunity to participate in many activities designed to build confidence, self-discipline, and life skills that will pay dividends after high school. All books and uniforms are provided free of cost and there is absolutely no military obligation of any kind.

For current cadets: Course materials, related references, and a variety of information can be found on the Google Classroom for your section and through the school's Infinite Campus portal. Individual course material is no longer provided on this site.
