Spring 2021

Well what an interesting start to the year that was! With lockdown in place, the preschool remained open, welcoming children. And with just a few in to begin with, the staff continued to work hard to ensure everything was as normal as it possibly could. As schools have gone back, the children have settled back into preschool really well and have welcomed lots of new friends.

We have started to explore spring and have been on some lovely walks around the town to look at changes in our environment, we've also spent lots of time in our garden looking at and making bug dens!

With World Book Day in mind, we have had a focus on traditional fairytales and nursery rhymes and have had lots of fun making puppets and re-telling the stories. The children particularly enjoyed The 3 Little Pigs and continue to chant "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!" We've also had fun pretending to be Humpty Dumpty balancing along our obstacle trying to not fall off!!

As Easter approaches we have been having egg hunts in the garden, tried to find bunnies and chicks in our sensory area and the children have created some beautiful master pieces.

All the children will be taking part in an Easter bonnet competition with a prize for the best bonnet!
