About Us
Mere Pre-school/Nursery has been established for over 30 years. We welcome children aged 2 to 5 years and also have very close links with Mere School. We provide a secure, warm and friendly environment for our children’s learning. Mere Pre-school/Nursery is committee run and has charitable status; we are registered under the Children’s Act 1989 with Wiltshire Social Services and hold the OFSTED Certificate of Registration for Early Years.

Mere Preschool Nursery wish to ensure that every child is nurtured within the setting during this precious time in their life. We would like every child to feel confident in their ability to explore all things new, from language to their surroundings. In achieving these two areas we believe they will also grow positively and our aim is to assist them as they transition to school age.

To encourage our children to develop as independent learners. We offer free flow play, indoors and outdoors, and our children are involved in the planning process at every stage. This leads to children who are excited to come to preschool, and leave us well equipped for the next stage of their journey.
