2018 AAA Innovations Program Grant Recipient

The Center for Anatomical Sciences has received the 2018 Innovations Program Grant from the American Association of Anatomists!


This award will fund the 2019 and 2020 Summer Opportunities in Anatomy Research (SOAR) Programs, an internship program for undergraduate students interested in the anatomical sciences.

Social Media Coverage of Lab Outreach

In June, lab members Rachel Menegaz (program co-director), Summer Ladd (student coordinator), and Richard Saavedra helped lead the Summer Bridge Program for the Texas Academy of Biomedical Sciences High School. This program gives rising 9th grade students hand-on experiences with medicine and science on the UNTHSC campus.

3D Printing Initiative

The Menegaz Lab is now recruiting students for a 3D printing initiative. Students will create & print models that will be used for research training and presentations, for teaching in gross anatomy courses, and in CAS outreach activities. High school students, undergraduates, and students in the GSBS MS Medical Sciences Program are encouraged to contact Dr. Menegaz via email if interested.

Summer Research Internship for Undergraduate Students
