MEDFIRE model

This section presents the MEDFIRE landscape dynamics model. It should provide all the information necessary to conduct model runs. We organized this section as follows:

• 1. Overview presents the purpose, architecture and main functionality of the model.

  2. Fire sub-model describes the implementation details of the fire sub-model.

  3. Vegetation sub-model describes the implementation details of the succession sub-model.

  4. Initialization provides a description of how MEDFIRE has been initialized for Catalonia.

  5. Outputs describes the output layers and tables that can be optained from MEDFIRE runs.

  6. Model archives provides the resources necessary to carry out model runs (scenario files, source code, ...)
