Toshiyuki Matsuura is an associate professor, Keio Economic Observatory of Keio University in Japan. Area of his research interests includes the determinants and consequences of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), and the link between export behavior and firm performance. Prior to coming to Keio, he worked at Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI) and Hitotsubashi university in Japan. He has published in the European Economic Review, Oxford Economic Papers, World Development, Review of World Economics and Journal of the Japanese and International Economies. He holds a Ph.D. from Keio university.
