Midnight Breakfast takes place every semester on the Sunday prior to finals week. 350-400 students attend to eat breakfast food, socialize with peers, participate in activities such as caricatures, temporary tattoos, and cake/gingerbread house decorating contests, catch t-shirts thrown into the audience, and win prizes. Each semester's event is focused on a theme. I have worked on the project twice: Fall 2011: The Nightmare before Christmas Spring 2014: Oh The Places You'll Go
Decorations, menu, and activities all tied into the theme.
A colleague and I were responsible for organizing a team of Resident Assistants to decide on a theme, plan decorations, design a t-shirt, plan a menu in collaboration with Dining Services, selec
t and book vendors, and plan a range of prizes.
I worked on this project in Fall 2011 and Spring 2014.
I partnered with a fellow Residence Director to manage a planning committee of Resident Assistants and implement the event.
