Dr. K. You are a credit to all who know you!

I think that Government should be required for all majors because you learn so very much about the world, politics, and different cultures all around the world. Dr K, class allows you to grow, learn, and enhance your knowledge about government. Tyler Junior College is a great school and I am so very happy to be attending this college. Tyler Junior College has some of the greatest instructors and Dr. K happen to be one of them. If a student take government under Dr. K, they need to consider themselves very lucky. Now I will give you the reason why.
Dr. Khosrowshahi government classes give a student a chance to learn so very much about government and offers so much more. I have obtained so much knowledge about politics, International seminars, International education, and about my own country. Any students that are looking for a class that will teach them the meaning of leadership, integrity, and commitment then Dr. Khosrowshahi government classes will be a good class for one to enroll in. Dr. Khosrowshahi classes even offers scholarships, and I don't know to many classes on campus that offer all of this.
•I am honored to be in his class and I will take my knowledge from his class and apply it to my major; thank you Dr. K.

It was also great to watch you Dr. K you have so much passion and enthusiasm about what you do! When I look at you I can tell that it is not just a job for you but you’re being paid to do something that you already love and that makes a hug difference! You are truly an amazing instructor. I hope you choose to continue to have the MLK, Rose, Christmas Parades as part of your curriculum. Projects like these stay with students for years to come!

Professor K. is one of those souls whose very life is one of inspiration. He seems to live and breathe vitality, exploration, discovery, passion, vigor, and knowledge. I am so honored to be a student learning from him.
What I loved most about how this seminar was the passion of the instructor. I love how Professor K. teaches. He uses many different modalities and styles to teach and get his students excited about the material. It activated all my different ways I learn and helped me to really engage in the material and drink it in, metaphorically speaking.

I had a class this past summer and the professor asked us what we think makes up a great instructor. And we said the following: respectful, reply's back to e-mails promptly, grades fast, good listener, understanding, loves what they do, gives clear instructions, gives positive feedback, and shows up to class on time. And with all that, that's what I see in you Dr. K. You were the first person that popped into my head when I heard that's what students want in a professor.
I am truly grateful and blessed that I had a professor like you. I am telling everyone I possibly know to take your class, because they won't regret it. Other instructor's now have BIG shoes to fill, from learning that an instructor CAN have all those great qualities.
Thank you again,
Have a great winter break,
Jessica Hoffmann, TJC Student
Dr. K. It is incredibly admirable how knowledgeable, worldly, and disciplined he is to follow his own goals and to make them happen- hoping to change to people’s lives, and succeeding. It is a huge blessing that TJC employs such faculty, and that TJC works hard to allow and support people who want to make a difference. Human connection, and living connections in general, is extremely vital to the universe. It also is a huge challenge in the modern era of technology we are in.

You continue to inspire students to do their best and succeed in their education. I recommend you as a professor for government to others. It is evident that you love what you do which makes your students want to succeed in their college journey. Thank you for your continued service to all your students. You are definitely the best professor.

Dear Dr. K:
Thank you is certainty not adequate enough to express my appreciation for you agreeing to be the presenter for my International Education Week event again this year. Your presentation was so well received and enjoyed last year that only a return appearance could live up to the students, faculty, and administrations expectations.
However, most of all, I want to thank you for your continued support of my program, your encouragement and your friendship. Finding someone with similar dedication and devotion to expanding the value of international education in east Texas is a rare and precious gift.
Thanks for being the brilliant person and special friend you are to Richard and me.
Sincerely yours

Dear Dr. K:
Thank you for your excellent lecture on Wednesday night. The information was knowledgeable and very clear. Your visual displays were exceptional and easily understood. It was a pleasure to hear and get acquainted with the superior lecturers that your colleges offer our community.
Thank you again and more success in spreading the truth.
C. H. from Temple Beth El
Dear Dr. Khosrowshahi,
Words seem inadequate to express our appreciation for your warm, informative
discussion. We particularly enjoyed the PowerPoint presentation which
provided relevant data, humorous political cartoons, interesting questions and tailored material. In addition, we were pleased with the Israeli pamphlets and the magnificent photographs. Indeed, the evening surpassed our grandest expectations. As Geri Cohen, our local president, and I were leaving the temple, she remarked, "We'll probably go a long time before we have a program as effective as this one." I heartily agreed with her.
Thank you again.

Dr. K.
I need to tell you about a man who is very kind and helpful.
His name is Manoucher Khosrowshahi. (I know that it’s a mouthful!)
He teaches at the community college. He teaches at the university.
He teaches students about political science and he encourages diversity.
He gives his students many chances throughout the semester to succeed.
He wants everyone to learn as much as they can, and so his advice we heed.
We learn about our own government. We learn about others too.
We learn that we have a lot in common. We are held together by this glue.
The people in the Middle East are just like you and me.
They have jobs and homes. They raise their families.
They may think a little different and wear different clothes than us,
But that doesn’t mean they aren’t nice. They’re not all terrorists!
Our differences make us interesting to learn about each other.
Our similarities bind us together with our sisters and our brothers.
The Earth will still continue to go on if today was his last day.
But many of us are so much better off for having known Dr. K.
Shanah Hill 2009
The seminar took up a Saturday which had some resented;
But the style in which Dr. K taught, along with his humor, were appreciated.
There was so much knowledge and facts to be attained.
What a great experience to have gained!
The work that went into preparing the seminar was apparent
Dr. K’s presentation, slides, and interactive teaching were coherent.
The excitement that Dr. K exuded was contagious.
Dr. K’s belly dancing clip was outrageous!
Thanks to Dr. K’s hard work, passion, and dedication
All who attended his seminar experienced a great education.

Turkey Is The Place To Go!
Turkey is the place to go!
Dr. K told me so.
He was full of facts and info.
Just remember Turkey the country not the bird.
There, Apostle Paul spoke God’s word.
The way Turkish people potty is absurd!
Different nationalities all reside there.
They are all mostly nice and fair.
Just be sure not to eat meat that is rare.
Turkey is at least 8,000 miles away from here.
So I hope flying is not your fear,
You might just shed a tear.
The language is hard to speak,
But you should not be meek.
Just do your best and smile cheek to cheek!
Ladies may wear scarves or hats.
Please no high heels, only flats.
Remember do not touch the dogs or cats!
Santa Clause also loves Turkey.
This is where he used to be.
Thinking of presents for you and me!
It is a place I would love to go!
It would be a long trip to and fro.
Turkey’s famous ‘Cotton Castle’ would heal me though!
The Turkey seminar was a hit.
Dr. K was entertaining and legit,
One that I will never forget!

What I learned from the seminar
Is we know little about people a far
There are so many misconceptions
That seems to dim out our perceptions
It’s important for all of us to learn
To hopefully take a better turn
Learning the truth is what’s best
So we can put all these fears to rest
We need to turn away from hostility
And lean more towards hospitality
It’s a small world that we live in
To treat people as has been done is a sin
Knowledge is the power
This is our finest hour
We need more teachings like this
I can only imagine what could be accomplished
That is what I learned from the seminar
We all should learn about people a far
To end all the misconceptions
And bring light to our perceptions
It was important to me to learn
I am glad I had my turn
I learned the truth that’ the best
And my fears are at rest
I never had much hostility
I would like to show my hospitality
I want to travel this world I’m in
To get away from the sin
I have earned my power
In those few short hours
