Dr. K. is a professor of political science specializing in American Politics and Texas Government, Middle Eastern Studies, and Turkish and Greek culture and civilization. He has been an Internet veteran for 30 years and an e-learning scholar. He has been offering online courses via cyber-learning since 1995.
He is a five-time Fulbright Grant recipient, was named "Star Professor" by Alpha Omega Chapter (Phi Theta Kappa) in 2019, was named Texas Professor of the Year in 2008, and received the Piper Professor Award in 2010. He received the Endowed Chair for Teaching Excellence award, among many outstanding awards. He has taken over 2,000 college students, faculty, and community members on overseas travel/study projects in different countries since 1990.
Dr. Khosrowshahi brings this award-winning teacher approach to every discussion, classroom activity, and presentation. He goes above and beyond the calls of his duties in all his professional activities.
As part of his research in international education, he has traveled and conducted travel/study projects overseas (Turkey, Greece, Thailand, Mexico, England, Costa Rica, and Japan. He is fluent in English, Azeri Turkish, Modern Turkish (some), Farsi, and Arabic (some reading, writing, and speaking).
Dr. K. also teaches Yoga, nutrition, and health-related classes.
