Good evening Martina
I have had a close look at your questions, they are are relevant and sensible discussion points for the Northland region at the present time and for the future.
Yes I have views as an individual on each of these topics, however in order to give an informed opinion I believe further detailed personal and professional research is needed.
If elected to the Northland Regional Council I would be one of nine councillors who must collectively make a decision that benefits the whole of Northland, not an easy task.
The council must work together and provide a unified voice to be an effective governance body.
I know this sounds like I am being evasive, but past experience has shown me that if you wish to achieve results that are sustainable and in the best interests of the entire community the councillors must first work as a cohesive unit.
I believe in an integrated approach which incorporates my passion for the environment, but has an economic base. Tying this together is community, people are the glue here. If the community is on side the projects will happen and last well into the future.
Kind regards
Rick Stolwerk
