Chapter Summary:
Throughout this text, we argue that prevention is the first step in classroom behavior management. In Chapter 4, we presented the basic preventive strategies of establishing and teaching clear rules and procedures and providing reminders to help students remember those rules and procedures. This chapter presents three additional prevention techniques: classroom scheduling, climate, and organization.
