The 2010 New York Ashes
The 2010 New York Ashes
The legendary clash in New York
Cricket at Mad Dog Park
It is said that if you want to understand how much a Brit and an Aussie have in common, put them in a room with an American... An essential part of this connection is cricket - and the contest between the two nations known as "The Ashes" is sport at its best.
The New York Ashes game played annually between the Australians and British residents of New York and hosted by the Mad Dogs in Greenwich CT. The series began in 1990 and has been played annually ever since then.
England are the current holders after a 10 run win win last year. The last 5 years have gone to the wire, so it will likely be a close encounter again in 2010.
