Yoga postures can be used to correct the structural alignment of the body, increase healthy range of motion in the joints, improve the strength & suppleness of muscles, and provide a vehicle for healthy weight management.  Pain diminishes naturally as the body is brought into balance. 

Additionally, yoga practice increases lung capacity, tones & detoxifies the internal organs, and clears the energy channels of the body.

Most importantly, yoga integrates the individual by unifying the mind and body.  This is done by linking the postures to the breath and focusing on the effects of each pose throughout the yoga practice.  As you become more aware of your body, you are better able to move in the way that is healthiest for you. 

At the end of each yoga practice, we clear our mind in final relaxation pose and follow the breath to enhance the restorative effects of the day's practice, allowing students to leave yoga class feeling refreshed and relaxed.  For more information, please click on the following links:
