DH1718 Power Supply

2020/4/14

I do like analog power supply.  Generally I do not use a precise power supply for testing transceiver.  From time to time, I like watch current changes to roughly estimate the push pull stage working state.  A digital voltage/current head is not respond fast enough to tell the current change(except your power supply had a high end meter).

So I take the DH1718 out, trying to fix it - as simple as connected a new  power cord. DH1718 use multi turns POT for voltage tune, a delightful feature.   Unfortunately, I found channel one's voltage indicating is wrong.

Luckily, It's simple.  The POT the screwdriver pointing at is response control the full voltage output, tune it to 32 volt.

And the very right one control the voltage analog meter 'accuracy',  align that under 10V.  Then from 1V-15V it's pretty precise: 10V/5V reading corresponding 10.0x V and 5.0x Volt.

After alignment, don't know how, the power on indicated led is dead. I try to disassemble and fix it. Yes I did.  Unfortunately, the channel one's current control POT is broken -- did I turned it so hard ....

Ok, It's time to order some POT for spare... and all fixed.
