INNOV8
Now it is your turn to responsibly innovate for humankind's future!
What would be most useful? What would be most innovative?
In groups of 3, you will imagine an original - and responsible - innovation: a tool used in sports, music, education, a social / domestic robot / defense / medical robot, etc.
You will design it, detail its perks, who might use it, what are the potential drawbacks for today's workforce, how much it costs, and present it in a convincing way to a panel of three investors.
You can use AI to create an artistic rendition of your innovation (or to inspire you in the first stages of your work).
Use rich vocabulary to use: at least ten words from this folder (total of 20 words; click here for the quizlet list on "Technology and the Future"), which list you'll submit to your jury.Â
Your pitch:
- start with a one-sentence recap of what your innovation is/represents
- make sure you explain in detail the basics of how it works, what it does, how useful it is, etc
- have some attractive slides ready (images, graphs & keywords - no text). We want to see how your tool or robot looks like, with original sketches ;)
- prepare with care (without any notes & don't read from your slides)
- speak with enthusiasm: use your pauses, interactive techniques (we/you; question the audience, etc), make eye contact)
- Listen and respond
