Recently, during a Teacher Council Meeting that I was privileged to visit, we were counseling together about helping the youth to teach each other.
Suddenly, one of the teachers left the room.
Later she returned with a sheet of paper that she had been saving in her car for weeks.
Written on the front and back was a masterful lesson plan prepared by her daughter for her class to teach THIS lesson.
The mother was so moved by this that she felt compelled by The Spirit to save this sheet.
I'm glad she did ...
Please carefully review this lesson outline.
Realize that it was prepared entirely by a young woman, on her own, for her peers that she knows well, and who know her well.
Notice how it follows many, if not most, of the principles of Teaching in The Savior's Way.
Think about how much more impactful this was for this class to hear this Spirit-led lesson from one of their peers.

In the August 2016 Ensign, Brian K. Ashton, Second Counselor, Sunday School General Presidency, said the following, "Youth need to teach, and you can help them succeed. As they do, their testimonies will grow, and they will be better prepared to be missionaries, parents, and leaders in the Church. More importantly, they will become more like the Savior." https://www.lds.org/ensign/2016/08/helping-youth-teach
In the "TEACHING IN THE SAVIOR’S WAY" manual it states, "Give Youth Opportunities to Teach Each Other - Youth teach each other all the time—they share experiences, help a friend understand a gospel principle, or set an example through their actions. Give them many opportunities to teach each other in class, for they often learn best from each other and from the experience of teaching. When you invite youth to teach, take the time to help them prepare appropriately. Share with them some of the principles in this resource, and explain what you do to prepare to teach. Consider this pattern: explain a principle that you want them to understand, demonstrate how to apply it, let them practice it, evaluate their efforts, and give them a chance to practice again. In this way you will be helping the youth not just for one lesson but for a lifetime of teaching the gospel in the Savior’s way." https://www.lds.org/manual/teaching-in-the-saviors-way/part-3-teach-the-doctrine/teach-the-youth

Please prayerfully look for opportunities to help the youth teach each other the doctrines of Christ.
