Native, Nocturnal, & Nautical
Week 2 (June 17-21), Week 5 (July 8-12)
In this camp, Living Coast Instructors will guide campers through a journey all about local animals, both on land and in the water, as well as those that are nocturnal and diurnal! Not only will campers learn about native animals, they will get up close to and learn about native plants and how both plants and animals are essential for a thriving ecosystem.
All camp schedules and activities are subject to change based off organizational and animal needs.
During camp, we will:
Day 1:
Learn about diurnal animals.
Meet an animal.
Do an experiment.
Day 2:
Do a craft.
Meet a reptile.
Learn about nocturnal animals.
Day 3:
Play water sports on San Diego Bay.
Learn about native plants and wetlands.
Meet an animal.
Day 4:
Play water sports on San Diego Bay.
Participate in a dissection.
Meet and touch a moon jelly.
Day 5:
Learn about cartilaginous fish.
Feed an animal.
Go on a hike.
