Marsh Madness
Week 2 (June 17-21), Week 5 (July 8-12)
Sweetwater Marsh is home sweet home to amazing plant and animal life, some of which are endangered! Campers will use microscopes and other tools to discover all the wonderful wildlife in our local marsh.
All camp schedules and activities are subject to change based off organizational and animal needs.
During camp, we will:
Day 1:
Learn what a marsh is.
Make a nature journal.
Meet a reptile.
Day 2:
Learn about water lilies and other marsh plants.
Make a plant craft.
Explore our pollinator garden.
Day 3:
Take a sample of marsh water to look for plankton.
Play team building games with staff and campers.
Meet and touch a moon jelly.
Day 4:
Learn about shorebirds.
See shorebirds in their natural habitat.
Meet an animal.
Day 5:
Look at sharks and rays.
Learn about our local watershed.
Go on a beach clean up.
