Scientists and researchers have used clues from nature to design many amazing tools and machines. From helicopters to parachutes, we'll explore biomimicry's nature-inspired inventions and campers will get a chance to create an invention on their own. Get ready to discover what dwells in the San Diego Bay by getting up close and personal with some amazing animal ambassadors!
Please complete the Chula Vista Water Sports Waiver below prior to the start of camp and bring a completed copy with you on the first day of camp.

Meet a Living Coast animal ambassador.
Conduct an experiment focused on propulsion.
Day 2:
Play watersports on San Diego Bay.
Meet an amazing Living Coast animal ambassador.
Learn about fungus and it's importance in an ecosystem.
Day 3:
Feed animals that call the Living Coast home.
Explore the trails on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge searching for birds.
Make a rcokin' craft.
Day 4:
Play watersports on San Diego Bay.
Have a scavenger hunt around the Living Coast Discovery Center.
Meet a Living Coast animal ambassador.
Day 5:
Feed ocean animals that call the Living Coast home.
Conduct a beach clean up on the San Diego Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
