Okami Kyoshi

Okami Kyoshi is the son of Okami Takumi (formerly of the Crane) and Okami I-Can't-Remember-Her-Name (formerly of the Unicorn), born 1125 in Kanazawa.

At the Imperial Court held at the city in 1130, he was introduced to the Elemental Master of Fire of the Isawa. The Master saw that the young boy was blessed by the fire kami and agreed to bring him back to the Isawa for training to unlock his potential. Kyoshi has excelled at the school and become a young renowned scholar. Largely, he ignores matters outside of his study of the kami and his love of calligraphy and ciphers.

Whilst at the Isawa school, Kyoshi was involved in a bad accident that left one leg permanently damaged despite all efforts to renew and heal it. He also suffers from more-or-less continual bad health. It is theorized that kami in his body are so unbalanced, and the fire kami so prevalent, that he may never fully recover.
