Reginald BLACKBURN was born Aug, 11,1903 at 8 Wakefield Road, Brighouse , the son of Wade & Mary Blackburn. In 1911 the census shows he lived at 10 Water Street, Brighouse. He married PhyllisMACKWELL, May 29,1928 in the Registry Office, Halifax. Their marriage certificate gives Reginald's address as 97 Bradford Rd, Brighouse, and his occupation as Dyeworks Costing Clerk. The marriage was witnessed by Amy Sykes and Henry Mackwell. His age was recorded as 24. They had three sons and a daughter. In 1928 the family resided at 44 Wood Top, Hove Edge, Brighouse. By 1942, they had moved to 12 Frances Street, Brighouse. Reginald worked as a textile foreman until his retirement. He died Sep 16, 1974 at Huddersfield. His place of residence given on the death certificate was 38 Leeds Road, Mirfield, the home of his daughter Joan. (see certificates)
Wade BLACKBURN was born on 31 Jul 1861 at Little Town Liversedge , Yorkshire, the son of Israel & Hannah Blackburn. His birth was registered by his mother and signed with her mark (X). By the time of the 1881 census the family had moved to Bramstone Street, Rastick. Wades occupation at the time was Apprentice Cooper. He married Mary WHITELEY April 11, 1887, in the Parish Church, Brighouse. The marriage was witnessed by Jane Airer and William Whiteley. Wade's occupation was given as Cooper and his age as 25. In 1891 the family resided at 37 Police St, Brighouse, where in 1892 their first son Clement Whiteley was born. By 1901 they had moved to 8 Wake field Rd, Brighouse and by 1911 to 10 Water St, Brighouse. In 1911 Wade's occupation was given as Cooper Vat Builder and Undertaker. At the time of his son, Reginald's, birth (1903) his occupation was given as Master Cooper. Wade was a staunch spiritualist and was Dean at Martin Street Sunday School. Wade died in 1937.
Clement Whitley BLACKBURN married Ethel OGDEN in 1918 and they had a son, George H, in 1926.
Israel BLACKBURN was born 1825 in Gomersal, and christened on July 24, 1825, in Birstall, the son of Samuel & Ellen Blackburn. On the 1841 census his residence was recorded as Gomersal, Little Birstal. He married Hannah TAYLOR, July 23, 1848, in the Parish Church, Birstall. Isreal's age at the time of his marriage was 23 and his occupation, Carder. The marriage was witnessed by James Savage and George Bromley. Their daughter Emma was born in 1849 and son Martin in 1850. On the 1851 census the family where resident in Little Town, Liversedge, where daughter Jane was born in 1857 . On the 1861 census the residence was given as 1679 Little Town, Liversedge, and Israel's occupation as Worsted Spinner. Son Wade was born in 1861, daughter Ada was born in 1864, and daughter Clara in1868. At the time of his son, Wade's birth (1861) his occupation was given as Overlooker Worsted Mills. By the 1881 census the family had moved to Bramstone St, Rastrick. Israel died in 1890.
Samuel BLACKBURN was born 1796 in Gomersal. He married Ellen (Nelly) ROBINSON, May 31, 1824, in Birstall. Their son Israel was born in 1825, daughter Nancy in 1829, son John in 1831, son William in 1832, daughter Mary in 1834, and son Robinson in 1836. On the 1841 census his residence was recorded as Gomersal, Little Birstal. Their son Francis was born in 1841, daughter Lucy in 1843, daughter Ellen in 1845. The 1861 census has granddaughter Isabella, aged 4, living with them, and Samuel's occupation as Weaver Wollen. The 1871 census has Samuel living in Little Town, Liversedge, with his wife Ellen, son Robinson, and daughter Lucy. Samuel died in 1880.

Phyllis MACKWELL was born March 23, 1907 at 117 Halifax Rd, Brighouse, the daughter of Henry & Sarah Maria Mackwell. Her occupation at the time of her marriage to Reginald in 1928, was Silk Winder. After her divorce from Reginald she remarried ? WILKINSON. Phyllis died March 7,1984, in Dewsbury. At the time of her death her occupation was given as Cook (retired) and place of residence as 30 Ings Road, Littletown, Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
Henry MACKWELL born Oct 21, 1872, Dawson St, Idle, the son of William & Nanny Mackwell . The 1881 census shows him living at 70 Aire St, Idle, Yorkshire. By 1891 he had moved to John Street, Brighouse, his occupation was given as stone miner. He married Sarah Maria BOOTH on December 8, 1894, at hr Parish Church in Halifax. His age was recorded as 22. The witnesses to the wedding were Eddy Mackwell and Elizabeth Mackwell. Henry's address at the time of the marriage was Head Lane, Brighouse. Their daughter Clara was born in1887 and daugther Amy in 1899. Son William was born in 1901 and is shown on the 1901 census, where the address is 111 Upper Lane, Hove Edge, Brighouse. Son Henry was born in 1904. By 1907 the family had moved to 117 Halifax Rd, Brighouse, where Phyllis was born. Daughter Sarah was born in 1911. In 1928 on the marriage certificate of Phyllis, Henry's occupation was given as Quarry Man.
William MACKWELL was born March 11, 1845, in Mirfield, Yorkshire, the son of Henry & Elizabeth Mackwell. In the 1851 census he is listed living with his mother Elizabeth. He seems to be missing for the 1861 census but shows again in the 1971 census along with his wife Hannah, living at 5 Dawson Street, Idle. William was listed as a mason. Son Edward was born in 1871, Henry in 1872, daughter Hannah nee DEAN in 1875, Clara in 1876, Elizabeth in 1878, and son Joseph in 1880. On the 1881 census the family had moved to 70 Aire Street, Idle and Williams occupation is given as stone miner. Son James was born in 1882 and by the 1991 census the family had once again moved, to John Street, Idle. William died in 1899.

Mary WHITELEY was born August 1, 1862, White Lee, Batley, the daughter of William Jennings & Elizabeth Whiteley. In the 1971 census Mary was living at 7 Mitchell St, Brighouse and by 1881 had moved to 48, Bonegate Rd, Hipperholme Cum Brighouse, with a listed occupation of Cotton Piecer. She married Wade Blackburn on April 11, 1887, at the Parish Church, Brighouse. Her age was 24.
