The Groom's Family

Linda Wilkinson, Dunstan's Mum grew up in Manchester. She met Nick Lowe while studying at St. Hilda's, Oxford and they spent a few years travelling throughout the near East, the Indian subcontinent and Africa. They returned to England and decided to have a family, but they thought having just a boy and a girl was a bit boring so they did it again! Linda now lives in the beautiful Lake District with John Shorter (see below) where she spends as much time on the Fells as the weather allows.John and Linda are avid travellers, and their interest in history takes them to such exotic places as Shanghai, Lucknow and most recently the silk roads of Central Asia. John documents these and other momentous events with his fancy new camera.Nick Lowe (1952-2006), Dunstan's Dad, grew up in Bishop's Stortford before studying at Hertford College, Oxford. His interest in history was life-long and led to many fascinating trips to churches and National Trust sites all over the country. His historical adventures were second only to his water-related adventures. His love of beaches and kayaking spread to more than one of his children. Nick will be with us in spirit.Dawn Lowe shares Nick's love of the sea, and she and their two girls still spend summers on the beach, at the Steam Fair and preparing for the famous West Country Carnivals. She is a nurse by training and spends many hours caring for the Lowes who descend in the warmer months to play with Brew.The Siblings
