Research profile

Kazuji Nishikawa is a Junior Associate Professor(Lecturer (full time)) at Osaka University of Commerce, and a researcher at Graduate School of Education, Kyoto University(Kusumi Lab). I received Ph.D. in Psychology (2016) from Kansai University, Osaka, Japan.

I study the relationship between social relationships, learned behaviors, and mental health in individual differences in personality traits. In particular, I specialize in the concepts of curiosity and grit, and conduct research on the developmental formation of personality traits, as well as empirical research on a comprehensive model of the three components of emotion; cognition - feelings - reactions/behaviors. For the measurement of individual differences, I have been developing psychometric studies using time series analysis of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and multilevel analysis.
