By studying the behavior and ecology of target animals, together with the morphology, biomechanics, and physiology, I'm trying to understand how animals adapted to the environment with behavioral decisions and with evolutionary constraints. I'm mainly focusing on the predatory-prey interaction of fishes as a model system.

Study species (including past works): Choerodon schoenleinii; Epinephelus ongus; fishes associated with drifting seaweeds (mainly juvenile Seriola quinqueradiata, and adult Coryphaena hippurus); Seriola quinqueradiata; Lateolabrax spp.
