Palden Lhamo

Palden Lhamo is a protector goddess of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism and considered the principle protector of Tibet.

Thus she is the only female among the 'eight guardians of the law'. Once a queen who witnessed her husband turn against the Buddhadharma, killed even her own son as to prevent the destruction of Buddhism. Riding a donkey, she displays her power and celebrates her vow to protect the reigning Lamas of Tibet.
