My academic commitment to peacebuilding and social justice issues is an outgrowth of and closely linked to my professional background and activities. During the last fifteen years I have worked in or on issues related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, peace education, and inter-group dialogue. In addition to implementing dialogues in my own community, I have facilitated dialogues for Soliya, the Network for Peace through Dialogue, the Jewish Dialogue Group, and for the American Friends Service Committee, and have also facilitated restorative justice circles at a MA correctional facility. I am also a trained mediator and have volunteered in the Boston court system and for the Community Justice and Mediation Center in Bloomington, IN. I occasionally volunteer as a facilitator mentor/facilitator trainer with the Soliya Connect Program.
