Here is a nice radio controlled clock, purchased from the reception desk at NPL for a mere twenty quid! It employs the 60 kHz MSF transmission from Anthorn, Cumbria. The clock deciphers the "slow code" that is imposed on this transmission; the positions of the hands are set by stepper motors that are controlled by this code.
There are no manual controls or adjustments. It's fascinating to see the hands set themselves when you fit the battery.
