For comparison purposes, the small wattmeter on the left of this photograph was obtained from the bargain bin in Wilkinson's for two quid!
This is quite a late version of the classic polyphase torsion wattmeter that was designed by Dr C V Drysdale and produced by Tinsley until the early 1970s.
This one has a complete history file that indicates it was in continuous use from its purchase in 1965 until around 1990. It would have gone on a skip if I hadn't protested vigorously!
It is beautifully made and in excellent condition.
The wattmeter is complete with a pair of resistance boxes to extend the voltage range up to 500 V.
