The T1097 is a six decade Wheatstone bridge with ranges from 10 ohm to 100 megohm full-scale. The incremental arm can be used to balance out lead or contact resistances; it can also be used to provide a further decade of resolution.
These instruments were aged for over a year before final adjustment and provided an accuracy in the order of 30 parts per million. They were superseded by the advent of long-scale digital multimeters, such as those from Solartron, Datron and Hewlett Packard.
This one was manufactured in 1975 and is still in good condition.
