Johannes Wohlfart

Hi!

I am an Associate Professor of Economics (W2) at the University of Cologne and a Cluster Faculty Member of the ECONtribute Cluster of Excellence. Previously I was based at the University of Copenhagen and the Center for Economic Behavior and Inequality (CEBI).

I am also a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, an External Member at CEBI, an external ifo Research Professor and a CESifo Research Network Fellow.

In my research I use observational and experimental data to work on questions in behavioral economics, behavioral finance and macroeconomics. In particular, my research focuses on belief formation and the role of beliefs in shaping economic decisions.

I completed my PhD in 2019 at Goethe University Frankfurt and hold an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford.
