VirtualBox
Always use the latest version of VirtualBox.
Q: I can't see any 64-bit machine when creating a new virtual machine.
A: You may need to change your BIOS setting. The steps are at

Q: If the VirtualBox - Devices - CD/DVD Devices - Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file; does NOT work.
A: Use the Machine - Setting - Storage - CD/DVD Drive - Choose a virtual CD/DVD disk file
Installation
Virtual Machine:
-Set the Virtual Machine as Linux, OpenSuse (64 bit)
-Give at least 16Gb of disk space for the Virtual Machine before Installation.
Get the ISO file from www.opensuse.org
You can video capture the installation process. Later, do the actual screenshot from the video.
I am using CamStudio for my laptop.
Installation:
-Choose Gnome Desktop
-At the Installation Summary stage, disable the Firewall.
If you get an error reading media message, the ISO file may be corrupted and the only solution is to get a new copy of the ISO file.
Networking
ifconfig cnf (command-not-found) error
If the Trace Route command in Suse is not working. You can try to change the Virtual Machine NIC setting to Bridge.
