My performing interests and abilities are pretty wide ranged. I've played in rock bands, I speak Spanish and love playing Caribbean, Afrocuban, and Brazilian music. I've played the drum set and percussion parts for dozens of musical productions, and I have been performing in jazz combos and big bands for the past 20 years. I've also been playing percussion in classical settings for the past 24 years, with most experience on timpani. I currently gig and perform with several different groups for private parties, corporate gigs, weddings, and doing studio work. I'm originally from Utah and have studied with some of the best in the state: George Brown, timpanist for the Utah Symphony; Doug Wolf, percussion professor at the U of U (also with the Utah Symphony); Kelly Wallis, owner of Backbeats Drum Shop (one of the first call drummers in the state); and also with Jay Lawrence, (also a first call drummer, and whom I've studied with for over 7 years).
