Over my career, I have acquired skills and knowledge by formal training with “real-world” experience in application software programming and customization; Database design, scripting and administration; Web development with multimedia content design and management; “Real-time” reporting and executive dashboard architecture with KPI integration; Technical writing with interactive documentation, and the ability to train and support the full spectrum of users, from the technically savvy to the beginner, all at the same time.
Notable achievements in my career started with my work for the healthcare industry. The Healthcare Management Reporting and Analytics System was able to capture “real-time” data, linked from various distributed sources, into a dashboard user interface accessible by a web browser and a secure URL.
The crowning achievement of my career so far has to be the design and development of the Information Delivery System for the County of San Diego Integrated Property Tax System (IPTS). The Information Delivery System was comprised of two major components, the Reporting System and the Correspondence Management System.
Another highlight of my career was the deployment of a business intelligence system for the advertising industry. The web application was named the Advertisement Broadcast Verification and Contract Compliance System which was designed for, and sought after by, CBS/Paramount Domestic Television.
This application compiled data on clinics, doctors, specialists, services, fees, patients, diagnosis, plan coverage, costs and overhead for all of the in-network resources located in San Diego and Riverside Counties.
This data, integrated with a KPI (Key Performance Indicator) builder, allowed the dashboards I designed to “light-up” the best choice for the viewer, saving precious time and money for those who were in need.
The Reporting System included all of the reports that the County used internally to facilitate normal operation as well as all of the reports that the County distributed to external parties, agencies, the State of California or the United States Federal Government.
The Correspondence Management System encompassed the array of documents that the County distributes, such as flyers, notices, statements, forms, and letters related to land ownership, land use, and taxation.
The hosted application provided a tool-set for sifting through large amounts of data to monitor contract compliance and allowed Users to identify trends, get an overview of what is going on as well as provide a method to track business performance at any given time.
However, in my personal opinion, the true accomplishment was providing the public service advertising industry the same business intelligence system. Read More...
