Professional Experience

I have proven my ability to manage all aspects of the system development cycle (SDLC); incorporating UI design, database structure, data integration, reporting and analytics, system and user documentation, training, outside sales and technical support.

I have established a broad datawarehouse knowledgebase and have over 8 years experience with dimensional modeling, KPI design and OLAP cube deployment. My knowledge is complemented with skills in ETL and RDBMS design and the ability to customize existing systems to adapt to variable conditions, processes and/or standards. I have 7 years experience writing stored procedures, over 10 years experience troubleshooting and documenting existing SQL, T-SQL and PL/SQL code, and 10+ years experience utilizing multiple database platforms. I have more recently, in the past 6 years, focused on AdHoc Reporting system design and have published techniques for the efficient generation and use of AdHoc data sets.

I have attained administrator level knowledge of Windows and UNIX Server environments and have the ability to effectively host and manage Microsoft SQL Server, (2000 / 2005 / 2008 / 2010), and Oracle, (10g / 11i), databases. My previous employers and executive level users have made it known that my techniques of information delivery have supported “intelligent automation of the decision making process.”

I am highly-skilled in report writing as well as administration of independent, integrated and/or custom reporting environments using various software applications. I have been well-trained in the design, development and integration of web-based information delivery portals for end-users; and have spent the past 7 years gaining (enterprise-level) experience with the development of executive dashboard portals and business intelligence systems.

It has been noted by all of my prior employers that I possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. I have learned to enhance these skills by working concurrently on multiple development teams, supporting my peers and managers, and training developers and end-users. My capability to teach others is made possible by my ability to recognize varying needs and proficiency levels. By utilizing interactive training techniques as well as detailed technical documentation, I have been able to go above and beyond in terms of supporting others.

I have Administrator-level experience with the installation, configuration and maintenance of a wide range of computer system hardware in both the development and production environments. I have over a decade of “hands-on” experience with microcomputer hardware and the full spectrum of peripheral devices. In addition, I have over 5 years working with Blade server hardware and 2 years experience with the Sun SPARC server hardware configuration.
