Materials Consultant / Management Trainee

International Manufacturing Technologies.

Paid Summer Internship: June 1992 through August 1992.

IMT was located in Mexicali, Mexico and was a sub-contractor for National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO).

Responsible for assisting the engineering team with component blueprint examination, assessment of material requirements, job cost analysis and preparation of vendor purchase orders. Partnered with the factory Operations Manager to enhance skills and observe proper management of a large-scale “Maquiladora”. Key focus was placed on utilization of a multicultural workforce, review and analysis of project timelines and research of standards / processes for international business.
