CALL FOR PAPERS: 2014 National Symposium

Japanese Language Education

Theme: Local Connections, Global Visions: Japanese in Context

Building on the success of the 2012 National Symposium held in Melbourne, The Japan Foundation together with the Melbourne Centre for Japanese Language Education are bringing the National Symposium back - this time in Sydney.

The two-day symposium will be held at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) on 10-11 July, 2014.

Do you have research, study, or a program you’d love to share with your peers from around Australia? We welcome a range of speakers from primary teachers through to tertiary lecturers, for individual presentations and panel sessions.

The main topics of the Symposium include:

· National Scope: Australian Curriculum and White Paper

· Leadership and Advocacy

· Information and communications technology (ICT)

· Articulation

· Heritage

· Sharing best practise – primary

· Sharing best practise – secondary

Please see the attached submission guidelines [below] and complete the presentation proposal form with your abstract and biography for screening.

The submission deadline is Friday 28th February 2014.

The National Symposium will be run in conjunction with the Sydney International Conference on Japanese Language Education (ICJLE) to be held 10-12 July.
