- This is a system that we hope make coordination of our EMS shift schedule easier for all involved. There are a handful of functions you may wish to perform w/r/t EMS shift scheduling. Following is a description of each function
- THE GOAL is for all of us to work together to make sure that this on-line schedule is as up to date as possible at all times. This system should accurately reflect
1) The shifts you have agreed to take
2) The shifts for which you are looking for coverage help
3) The shifts for which you have agreed to cover for someone else.
- As far as we know, the schedule that is currently in the system is accurate for as far out in time as we can see. The GOAL for ALL MEMBERS is to take a look at the schedule and address anything that needs to be addressed. ... please keep reading ...
How do I login and look at the current schedule ...
- The schedule system is found at (https://secure.firemanager.net/jamestown). For Login: enter your first initial and last name (ex, rbarber). For Password: enter "jfd". You should now be logged in ... for now, please don't change your password.
- Select Work Schedule -> Work Schedule Views -> Weekly Blocks/Shifts. Both of these views will show you a weeks worth of schedule. You can use date-box and arrows in the upper right to look ahead (or back) in time.
What if something is inaccurate with the on-line schedule ...
- Contact/tell Ron or Howie and we will take action to get it corrected
What if I need to find someone to cover my shift ...
- As always, notify Howie (he is the single point-of contact for the sched) !!!! ... Ron can help to, but the goal is to keep Howie up to date.
- Select Work Schedule -> Trades. This window will show all of the shifts to which you are assigned (My Scheduled Time) as well as any of your outstanding coverage requests (My Requested Trades).
- Select Give Away for the appropriate shift ... and on the next screen check it and select Send Giveaway Request
What if I want to take a shift that someone needs coverage for...
- As always, notify Howie !!!!
- Select Work Schedule -> Trades. At the bottom of this window is Available Trades which shows all of the outstanding shift-coverage (aka trade) requests.
- Select Take Shift for the shift you will cover ... be careful, because once you select this, it's a DONE DEAL (there is no "are you sure?" box)
What if I want to print a one-page hardcopy of the weeks schedule...
- Select Work Schedule -> Work Schedule Views -> Weekly Blocks/Shifts.
- In the upper right corner of the screen select the printer icon (hover message will indicate Printer Friendly Version)
- Put your mouse anywhere on the sched and RIGHT-CLICK tha mouse .... select Print Preview
- In the upper right, select LANDSCAPE view, and then the printer icon (which should initiate printing)
