Call for Papers
Web system with IoT technology produces big-data and it has become increasingly important in our society. Using some AI engine enables us to build a novel web services for home and business use. We can also imagine the next generation of social network services where not only consumer generated contents but also IoT generated contents drives our activity on the internet.
International Workshop on Web Services and Social Media (WSSM) encompasses a wide range of topics in the research, design, and implementation of Web related things, especially, social activity on the Internet. The first workshop on WSSM-2012 was held in Melbourne, Australia. And the 2nd in Gwangju, Korea, the 3rd in Salerno, Italy, the 4th in Taipei, Taiwan, the 5th in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This time, we are honored to hold the 6th workshop on WSSM-2017 in Ryerson University, Canada in conjunction with the 20th International Conference on NBiS-2017. This workshop provides an international forum for researchers and participants to share and exchange their experiences, discuss challenges and present original ideas in all aspect of Web Services and Social Media. You are invited to submit papers in these areas and welcome to participate in the workshop. We welcome not only research papers on WSSM technology but also reports on requirements of WSSM in all domains.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Web Services, Web API, IoT,
SNS, Social Media, Community Functions, CyberWorld,
Mobile Services, Location-Aware apps, eLearning Services,
P2P Web apps, Web Mashups, Web Virtual Space,
User-Generated Contents, Consumer-Generated Media, IoT-Generated Contents
Information Retrieval, XML, Data Mining, AI engine
HTML5, CSS3, SOAP, UDDI, WSDL
Paper Submission
Authors should submit a paper to the WSSM-2017 workshop with maximum 10 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. However, authors can add up to 2 extra pages with the appropriate fee payment. Papers must be prepared using the Lecture Notes Style of Springer Proceedings.

All accepted papers of the workshop will be included in the NBiS-2017 conference proceedings of Lecture Notes in Data Engineering and Communication Technologies Series published by Springer. Proceedings will be sent by Springer for indexing in EI and SCOPUS, ISI Proceedings, MetaPress, Springerlink.
Authors of accepted papers, or at least one of them, are requested to register and present their work at the workshop. Please do follow the announcement on the NBiS-2017 website.
