Call for Papers
The World Wide Web was born over 20 years ago. Its primary aim was to give universal access to a large universe of documents. Currently, this aim is fully achieved. And with the advancement of Web services technology, people begin to use web as a tool for collaboration on business, artistic works, hobbies, social activities, and so on.
International Workshop on Web Services and Social Media (WSSM) encompasses a wide range of topics in the research, design, and implementation of Web related things, especially, social activity on the Internet. The first workshop on WSSM-2012 will be held in Melbourne, Australia in conjunction with the 15th international conference on network-based information systems (NBiS-2012). This workshop provides an international forum for researchers and participants to share and exchange their experiences, discuss challenges and present original ideas in all aspect of Web Services and Social Media. You are invited to submit papers in these areas and welcome to participate in the workshop. We welcome not only research papers on WSSM technology but also reports on requirements of WSSM in all domains. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Web Services, Web API, SNS, Social Media, Community Functions,
Mobile Services, Location-Aware apps, eLearning Services,
P2P Web apps, Web Mashups, Web Virtual Space,
User-Generated Content, Consumer-Generated Media,
Information Retrieval, XML, Data Mining,
HTML5, CSS3, SOAP, UDDI, WSDL
Paper Submission
The proceedings of the NBiS2012 conference and workshops will be published by IEEE CPS. Authors are invited to submit research contributions representing original, previously unpublished work. Please submit a 6-pages paper in IEEE Computer Society format (two columns in A4). You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page: Information for Authors. The submission web page is https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wssm2012. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. All papers will be refereed by members of the program committee.
