(1) Warm-up with Berne Assembly - Circle dance which includes a chain for four people. Here's a video which shows a bit of the dance (the video should start in the right place, namely from 1’12” https://youtu.be/8rwlL7yQ8Ek?t=1m12s
(2) Gentle stretching
(3) Step practice: Slip step. Videos https://www.scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com/videoclips/slip-step.html
(4) Step practice: Skip change of step. Video https://youtu.be/3-5rugdB-FY
(5) Formation practice: Four hands round and back. Here's a video showing six hands round and back https://www.scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com/videoclips/hands-round-and-back.html
(6) Formation Practice: Rights and Lefts. Video https://youtu.be/k664KkN1oZg
(7) Dance: The Wandering Drummer - Reel, 3x32 bars. In this dance, the first couple does a figure of eight on the sides, mirroring each other. The dance ends the with formation "Rights and Lefts". Video (we did the circle at the beginning with 2 couples, but it should have been all three couples!) https://youtu.be/duHP3hDsuUc
(8) Formation Practice: Two-couple allemande. Video https://www.scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com/videoclips/allemande-for-2-couples.html
(9) Dance: Lady Catherine Bruce's Reel - This dance, which in spite of its name, is danced in jig time, contains a sequence of moves seen very frequently in Scottish country dancing, namely "lead down and up, followed by a 2-couple allemande". The following video shows the sequence https://youtu.be/2t16DXTQLSM
In this particular dance, the full sequence of formations is "lead down and up", " two couple-allemande", "figure of eight" and "four hands round and back" https://youtu.be/31quhFV4vgg?t=12
(10) Fun dance to finish - Up and Down the River (32-bar jig ) This is a relatively new dance written by Zsofia Jozsef. It was inspired by the better-known dance, Riverside (or Riverside Jig). Zsofi's dance is cleverly constructed so that it can be done by any number of couples, preferably in a really long line!. The dance includes the formation "hands across and back for two couples" The first video on the following page shows how to do hands across nicely in quick-time https://www.scottish-country-dancing-dictionary.com/videoclips/hands-across.html Here is a video of the whole dance https://youtu.be/6WioFZYZ6Ug
