This schedule is organized by week. Click on the schedule topics in the green boxes below to get to the video, audio, and other materials that should be reviewed for each class and laboratory section, and for the examinations. "Lecture" content is delivered as videos noted below, and may be watched on-line or at the University of Hawai`i Sinclair Library, Wong Media Center. Please be patient when dowloading the videos online, it may take a while, depending on your connection speed.
1) Watch the lecture videos listed for each week and do the readings, BEFORE you come to class. So, for example, you must watch the three videos listed for Week 2 before the discussion day for that week (Aug 31/Sept1). Note that for week 2 a paragraph on the "introduction is also due, so FOUR paragraphs are due that week.
2) Each week please turn in one typed paragraph for each video you watch, answering the following questions:
(1) What did you learn from the lecture about the relationship between people and plants?
(2) How does what you learned apply to your own life? Include at least one example
These paragraphs should demonstrate that you thought critically about what you watched, as well as serve as a study aid for your exams.
3) Where indicated in the schedule, bring one plant to class that fits with the theme of the week
