THE POWER OF HOLINESS (1)
--- Our Eternal Calling
Our God Yehovah is a holy God.
The holiness of God describes His perfect character.
And our Father in heaven wants each of His children to also be holy, just as He is holy.
In this way, we represent His true character on this earth and bring glory to His name.
To be holy is “To be set apart to do the will of God.”
This is our calling today, tomorrow and forever---our eternal calling.
When we live a holy life and do God’s will on earth, we fulfil our calling on this earth today.
We will then live a life that is pleasing to our Father in heaven and brings great joy to Him.
When we live a holy life and do God’s will, we will always fear God and obey all His commands.
We will always love God and all men with all our heart.
When we live in holiness, we will see God.
We will see the glory of God, His goodness and His blessings in all areas of life, today and in eternity.
And God will always hear our prayers and give us all the grace we need to live in holiness before Him.
1. To be “Holy” is “To be set apart to do the will of God our Father”
MATTHEW 6:9-10
9 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name,
10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
In the Lord’s prayer, Jesus our Lord wants all His followers to pray that God’s will is done on earth as in Heaven.
All followers of Jesus must live to do the Father’s will.
This is living a life that is holy--- a life set apart to do God’s will.
2. The holiness of God describes His perfect character, and we are to be holy just as He is holy
ISAIAH 6:3 NKJ (Seen by the prophet Isaiah)
3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is Yehovah of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”
REVELATION 4:8 (see by John the Apostle)
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”
When Isaiah and John the apostle had their eyes opened to see God on His throne in heaven, God revealed to them that He is a holy God.
The holiness of God describes His perfect character.
And God wants all His children to be perfect like Him, to be holy like Him.
MATTHEW 5:48
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
1 PETER 1:15-16
15 But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;
16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
3. To be holy is our calling today, tomorrow and forever---our eternal calling
ROMANS 12:1
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is your true and proper worship.
God wants us to offer our lives to him daily, so that we live a life that does His will, that is holy and pleasing to God.
This is our calling today, tomorrow and for eternity.
4. When we live in holiness, and do God’s will, we will fear God and obey His commands, and love God and all men at all times
PSALM 112:1
1 Blessed are those who fear Yehovah, who find great delight in His commands.
PHILIPPIANS 2:12
12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
MATTHEW 22:37, 39
37 Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
39 And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself.”
When we live in holiness and do God’s will, we will always fear God and obey his commands.
We will always love God and all men at all times with all our heart.
These are evidence and proof that we are living holy lives.
5. When we live in holiness and do God’s will, we will build His Kingdom on this earth, as it is in heaven, just like Jesus our Lord
MATTHEW 6:9-10
9 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name,
10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
LUKE 22:42 (Words of Jesus)
42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but Yours be done."
HEBREWS 10:5, 7
5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You prepared for me;
7 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll—I have come to do your will, my God.’ ”
Jesus came to this earth to do the Father’s will, not His own will.
in this way, He built God's Kingdom on this earth.
He fulfilled all that the Father wanted Him to do within 33 years of His life on this earth.
Our focus in life should be like that of our Lord Jesus---to do the Father’s calling and the Father’s will for our lives, not to do our own will.
In this way, we build God's Kingdom on this earth.
In this way, we live a life that brings great pleasure and joy to our Father in heaven.
6. When we live in holiness, we will see God and His glory, His goodness and mercy, and His salvation and His blessings, today and in eternity
HEBREWS 12:14
14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
ISAIAH 6:3 NKJ
3 And one cried to another and said:
“Holy, holy, holy is Yehovah of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”
In His holiness in the throne room of God, God displays His glory, His goodness and mercy.
Likewise, when we walk in holiness, we will see God’s glory and goodness and mercy in our lives.
We will see the glory of God
--- His love, joy and peace,
--- His power, anointing and glory,
--- His miracles, signs and wonders,
--- His breakthroughs and turnarounds,
--- and His salvation and deliverance, at all times.
When there is no holiness, we will not see God.
We will not see His glory and goodness if we do not do His will but live in sin and rebellion.
Instead, if we do not live a holy life or do the will of the Father, we will be rejected by Jesus on the Day of Judgment.
MATTHEW 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Living a holy life determines our blessings on this earth and in eternity.
7. God will always hear our prayers and give us all the grace we need to live in holiness before Him
TITUS 2:11-12
11 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.
12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.
God wants us to be holy.
And He has given His grace to us to be holy.
By ourselves, we cannot live a holy life.
Therefore, we must ask God daily for His grace and help and strength to do so.
And He will give us the grace to live lives holy and pleasing to Him.
8. Decreeing the Decrees of Heaven
In Jesus' name, I declare and decree that .....
1. I want to live a holy life---a life set apart to do the will of Abba Father every day.
(MATTHEW 6:9-10)
2. God’s holiness describes His perfect character, and I will be holy just as He is holy, and be perfect just as He is perfect.
(ISAIAH 6:3 NKJ; REVELATION 4:8; MATTHEW 5:48; 1 PETER 1:15-16)
3. To be holy is my calling today, tomorrow and forever---my eternal calling.
(ROMANS 12:1)
4. When I live in holiness, and do God’s will, I will fear God and obey His commands, and love God and all men at all times.
(PSALM 112:1; PHILIPPIANS 2:12; MATTHEW 22:37, 39)
5. When I live in holiness and do God’s will, I build His Kingdom on this earth, as it is in heaven, just like Jesus my Lord.
(MATTHEW 6:9-10; LUKE 22:42; HEBREWS 10:5, 7)
6. When I live in holiness, I will see God and His glory, His goodness and mercy, and His salvation and His blessings, today and in eternity.
(HEBREWS 12:14; ISAIAH 6:3 NKJ; REVELATION 4:8; MATTHEW 7:21-23)
7. God will always hear my prayers and give me all the grace I need to live in holiness before Him.
(TITUS 2:11-12)

A TESTIMONY
"All glory be to God for giving to everyone in our church the grace to walk in holiness daily, thereby living under an open heaven of blessings and breakthroughs at all times"
BROTHER ANDREW:
"Instead of any specific example of walking in holiness in a believer’s life, the Holy Spirit has led me to thank God that everyone in our church family has receive the grace of God to live in holiness daily.
“As a result, every Sunday, we have been hearing testimonies after testimonies of breakthroughs and turnarounds, miracles, signs and wonders, including .....
... end-time revelation from the throne of God for each of us in this church, so that we enter into breakthroughs in every area of our lives at all times,
... greater love between husband and wives, and parents and children,
... healing for all kinds of sicknesses and diseases,
... great favour from our bosses and colleagues and customers,
... wisdom and revelation in our studies, jobs, and ministries, so that we live in constant success in all that we do, always having victories over all problems we meet,
... miracles received in answer to our prayers for others,
... sharing the Good News with many as the Holy Spirit opened doors for us to do so,
... having good brothers and good sisters who help one another in our times of need,
... having good leaders who help to watch over the flock of God,
... etc.
“All these blessings are a sign to us that all of God’s children here at in this church are each fulfilling God’s calling upon their lives, whether they work as housewives or work for others or run their own businesses or are serving as intercessors in their retirement, or serving the local church as full-time workers or voluntary workers.
“God is pleased with each of you in this family of God, as we continue to do His will in all areas of our lives, obeying His word, and following the leading of His Spirit, and loving God and loving man at all times.
“Many of these testimonies have been written down on the Intercessors For Malaysia (IFM) website.
However, there are too many of these miracles, big and small, for them all to be recorded.
“As a pastor, I feel that I am the most blessed pastor in the world with the most blessed congregation in the world.
“To God be all the glory for His grace to each of us to live in holiness, so that we are blessed beyond what we can ask or imagine.
“Amen and Amen!!!
To God be all the glory!!!”
Shalom
