In Bible history, 2 new eras of God’s plans were launched after a lockdown period, during a Festival of God Yehovah.
In Exodus 12, The Israelites were lockdowned for half a day, with every family staying at home.
During this lockdown, the angel of death killed all the firstborn of every Egyptian family.
This was the night of the first Passover, the first festival of God’s 7 festivals for the Israelites.
After the Passover, the Israelites were set free from hundreds of years of slavery, to be led by God into the Promised land.
This new era after the Passover describes the rise and fall of the nation of Israel, and lasted 1500 years, till the coming of the Lord Jesus.
This era highlighted the power of the blood of Jesus (as depicted in the animal sacrifices) to take away the sins of the people and to bless them.
The second lockdown was a 10-days lockdown, when the 120 disciples of Jesus gathered in the Upper Room, to wait for the Holy Spirit.
On the Day of Pentecost, the 4th Festival of the 7 Festivals of God, the Holy Spirit came down from heaven and filled all the 120 gathered.
This begun the Era of the Holy Spirit moving in power through the Church of God, an era that lasted until today.
Today, the people of God have entered a 3rd lockdown, a lockdown that involves the whole world.
In this lockdown, on the day of the Feast of Tabernacles, God will bring His people into another new era, the era of His glory---the glory of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, what God will do for us and through us in this new era of His glory.
The glory of God is the fullness of His power and presence, His goodness and love.
All of God’s children will carry the fullness of His glory in this new era, to build his Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
The prophet Daniel knew that after 70 years of captivity in Babylon, God will bring His people back to Jerusalem.
So he fasted and prayed for the plan of God to be fulfilled (DANIEL 9:2-3).
God wants us to do likewise, to fast and pray, so that His plans for a new era of His glory, will come to pass.
1. On the Feast of Passover, after a lockdown of half a day, the Israelites in Egypt entered into a new era as a free nation
Exodus 12:13-14
13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
14 ‘This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord – a lasting ordinance.
On that first Passover, the Israelites were set free from hundreds of years of slavery and were led by God into the Promised Land--- a land promised to their forefathers.
They were set free by the blood of the Passover Lamb.
In this new era, the focus was on the power of the blood of the sacrificial animals, which was shed to wash away the sins of the people.
This is a picture of the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, that washes away the sins of the world, and also the only blood that gives us all the riches of heaven.
2. On the Feast of Pentecost in Acts 2, after a lockdown of 10 days, the Holy Spirit filled the Church, and brought it into a new era
ACTS 2:1-4
1 When the Day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.
4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
Before Acts 2, generally only prophets and priests and kings were filled with the Holy Spirit to do God’s work.
Now, after Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit filled all believers.
The Church entered a new era of building God’s Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit for the next 2000 years, up till today.
3. On the Feast of Tabernacles 2020, after a worldwide lockdown of many months, the Church will enter into a new era of God’s glory
Haggai 2:1, 6-7, 9
1 On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came through the prophet Haggai:
6 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land.
7 I will shake all nations, and what is desired by all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,” says the Lord Almighty.
9 “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,” says the Lord Almighty.
The prophetic word released by the prophet Haggai concerning God’s end-time glory took place on the final day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
It is at this feast that God will release the fullness of His glory.
Likewise, the filling of Solomon’s Temple with the glory of God, during its dedication to God, also took place on the Feast of Tabernacles (1 KINGS 8:2, 10-11; 2 CHRONICLES 5;3-14).
4. God wants to fill this earth with His glory and it will take place for all the world to see
ISAIAH 6:3
3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is Yehovah of Hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory."
NUMBERS 14:21
21 Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the Yehovah fills the whole earth.
HABAKKUK 2:14
14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yehovah as the waters cover the sea.
It is God’s desire to fill the whole earth with His glory, so that man may know that there is a living God who created us, who is able to save and heal and deliver.
The glory of God is the only answer the Church can offer to the world in this times of great shaking when man has no more answer to the problems we face today.
5. When Jesus displayed the glory of God, God’s miracles manifested among the people of Israel
JOHN 2:11
11 What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of the signs through which He revealed His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.
JOHN 14:12 ESV
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.”
When Jesus obeyed the Holy Spirit, in a wedding at Cana, He was able to turn water into wine.
Through this miracle, He revealed the glory of God.
The glory of God is the fullness of His presence and power, goodness and love.
In this new era of the glory of God, every believer will carry the fullness of His presence and power, goodness and love.
Therefore, in this new era, we will also do extraordinary miracles when we obey the Holy Spirit in our life and ministry.
Jesus Himself said that we will do miracles even greater than those He did.
6. God commands us to display His glory in miracles and signs to everyone around us today
ISAIAH 60:1-3
4 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of Yehovah rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but Yehovah rises upon you and His glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.
MATTHEW 5:16
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
God wants to manifest His glory to all men on this earth.
Each of us carry the glory of God in us.
Jesus has given us the glory He had received from the Father (JOHN 17:22).
However, in this new era, God is releasing the fullness of His glory into every believer.
Like Daniel, God wants us to fast and pray to see His great glory covers the earth in our lifetime.
DANIEL 9:2-3
2 in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of Yehovah given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years.
3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
7. Decreeing the Decrees of Heaven
In Jesus' name, I declare and decree that .....
1. On the Feast of Passover, after a lockdown of half a day, the Israelites in Egypt entered into a new era as a free nation.
(Exodus 12:13-14)
2. On the Feast of Pentecost in Acts 2, after a lockdown of 10 days, the Holy Spirit filled the Church, and brought it into a new era.
(ACTS 2:1-4)
3. On the Feast of Tabernacles 2020, after a worldwide lockdown of many months, the Church will enter into a new era of God’s glory.
(Haggai 2:1, 6-7, 9)4. God wants to fill this earth with His glory and it will take place for all the world to see.
(ISAIAH 6:3; NUMBERS 14:21; HABAKKUK 2:14)5. When Jesus displayed the glory of God, God’s miracles manifested among the people of Israel.
(JOHN 2:11; JOHN 14:12 ESV)
6. God commands us to display His glory in miracles and signs to everyone around us today.
(ISAIAH 60:1-3; MATTHEW 5:16; DANIEL 9:2-3)
