Instructions For New Believers
God wants you to live in abundance and holiness, so that you can bring glory and honour to His name.
This is also a life of total victory over the lusts of your flesh (your old sinful nature), over the lusts of the world, and over the devil.
This is what you must do now after you have become a follower of Jesus.
1. Now that you have believed in Jesus as your Saviour, find a pastor or church leader to baptize you.
Mark 16:16. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
2. Faithfully attend a local church where you can grow to become more and more like Jesus each day.
Follow the person who shared the Good News of salvation with you to his church.
Hebrews 10:24-25. “24 And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. 25 Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
3. Submit to the leadership of the pastor and elders in the local church you attend and serve God in that church faithfully, willingly, cheerfully and wholeheartedly.
Hebrews 13:17. “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account, so that they can do this with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.”
4. Read God’s word every day so that you can know who you are in Christ, know the riches you now have in Christ, and know your calling in Christ to live a holy life (a life of obedience to God’s word).
In this way, you will always walk in success and prosperity.
Joshua 1:8. “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Ephesians 1:18. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people…”
5. Always obey the leading of the Holy Spirit every day so that you will always do the will of our Father in heaven.
When you are baptized, God fills you with His Holy Spirit to live in you forever, to lead you into all truth.
Do not do anything when the Holy Spirit does not give the peace of God in your heart.
Acts 2:38. “Peter replied, ‘Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ ”
Colossians 3:15. “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.”
6. Always come before God every day to praise Him, to ask Him for help and grace for all your needs, and to listen to the voice of His Spirit because God wants to speak to you.
Psalm 34:1. “I will bless Yehovah at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Hebrews 4:16. “Therefore we should come with boldness to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.”
John 10:14, 27. “14 I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
7. Pray and sing in tongues every day.
When you received the Holy Spirit, you received all the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gift of tongues.
The gift of tongues is a language that God has given to you to help you to pray the perfect prayer and to praise God perfectly.
The gift of tongues is already in you. It is a language you do not understand.
When you pray or sing in tongues, you are always praying or singing according to God’s perfect will and good plans for your life, your family, your church and the nations.
By faith, let the sounds come forth from your lips and the Holy Spirit will make it into a new language that only God can understand.
Mark 16:17. “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues.”
1 Corinthians 14:2. “For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.”
[Mysteries = the good and secret plans of God for you and all men]
8. Always love God with all your heart and always seek first His kingdom and His righteousness in all things, and all things you need will be given to you.
Matthew 22:37. “Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Matthew 6:33. “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
9. Always love your neighbour as yourself and love one another in the Church just as Jesus has loved us and gave His life for us.
Matthew 22:39. “And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.”
John 13:34-35. “24 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
10. Make decrees as a king to rule in every situation and live in victory over the devil.
You have been made a king and a priest by Jesus.
A priest prays while a king makes decrees and commands and declarations.
As a king, when you decree and declare on earth what has been decreed in heaven, what God has established in heaven, what God has spoken from heaven, it shall be done for you on this earth.
Nothing shall be impossible for you.
Revelation 5:10 NKJ. “And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
Matthew 16:19 NIV Margin. “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 17:20. “He replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
11. Whenever you go to God in prayer to ask for what you need, you must believe that the miracle has come into your life the very moment you prayed.
You express your belief by declaring and decreeing that your miracle has been received.
As soon as you have prayed a prayer, you must believe that you have received your miracle by
(a) thanking God every day for the miracle you have received and by
(b) decreeing and declaring that the miracle has been received.
Mark 11:23. “Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”
[--> Make decree and it shall be done for you]
Mark 11:24. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.’
[--> Pray and then make decrees that you have received it]
12. Always confess your sins to God every day and forgive all men who have ever hurt you, whether they are dead or alive, so that God can forgive you and answer your prayer.
Mark 11:23. “And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14-15. “14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
13. Always ask God to forgive and bless everyone whom you are led by the Holy Spirit to pray for, believe that God is changing them and declare that they are good people.
Repent on their behalf and ask God to remit and forgive their sins.
Then ask God to bless them and change them and believe that it is done by making decrees.
John 20:23 KJV. “Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.”
E.g. Prayer and decree for a son, daughter, husband, wife, boss, colleague, or anyone who has needs in his life.
PRAYER:
Dear Father in heaven,
Forgive me my sins as I right now forgive all those who has sinned against me or hurt me.
I thank you for my son (or daughter, husband, wife, boss, colleague, neighbour, sister, brother, pastor, leaders, civil servants, etc.).
Forgive him all his sins. Bless him with Your power and love and touch him and change him.
Let him have the fear of God and always do good to everyone around him.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.

He will find a good job with a good boss and good colleagues.
He is blessed to be a blessing to me and to others. Amen.
14. Use the prayer taught to us by Jesus every day as a model prayer and a pattern prayer in your prayer time.
The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4)
Our Father who is in heaven. Hallowed be Your name.
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we also have forgiven those who sinned against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
15. Confess your sins of idolatry and witchcraft and also those of your forefathers and family members, and command all evil spirits to leave you and your home.
Be specific in repenting of any false gods that you have worshipped or any kinds of witchcraft practices, and throw away or burn all objects of idolatry and witchcraft.
PRAYER:
Dear Abba Father, forgive me and my forefathers for our sins of idolatry and witchcraft, including worshipping idols such as ………………….. , etc., and practising witchcraft such as palm-reading, drinking temple water, …………..…… , etc.
Forgive me as I forgive everyone who has ever hurt me.
DECREE:
In Jesus’ name, every evil spirit that has entered my life and home because of my sins and my forefather’s sins, leave me and my family right now, and never return.

DECLARATIONS & DECREES
My Calling In Christ

(Ephesians 1:4-5)
2. As a son of God, He has called me to be holy and blameless before Him, to be conformed to the image of Jesus His Son.
(Ephesians 1:3; Romans 8:29)
3. Therefore, as God is holy, and as I have been made holy by the blood of Jesus, I will be holy in all that I do.
I will live a holy life---a life set apart to do only the will of my Father in heaven, and not my will.
(1 Peter 1:15; Hebrew 13:12; Matthew 6:10; 26:39: John 6:38)
4. Jesus is the vine, I am a branch.
Without Him, I can do nothing good.
Therefore, I will always remain in union and fellowship with Jesus, and receive grace and strength from Him every day to live a holy life.
(John 15:5; Titus 2:11-12; Hebrews 4:16)
5. I will love God with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.
I will serve Him cheerfully, willingly, wholeheartedly and faithfully.
(Mark 12:30; 2 Cor 8:12; 9:7-8; Matthew 25:21)
6. I will love my neighbours as myself and bless them.
I will always share the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven with them, as the Spirit leads me.
When they believe in Jesus as Saviour, they will be baptized and be taught to obey all the commands of Jesus, so that they grow to become true disciples of Jesus.
(Mark 12:31; Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:18-20)
7. I will love others in the Church just as Jesus has loved us.
In this way, the world will see and know that we are true disciples of Jesus.
Therefore in the church, we will forgive one another, pray for one another, help one another; care for one another, accept one another, encourage one another; honour one another, and bless one another.
We will build up one another until the Church grows to become mature like Jesus.
(John 13:34-35; Ephesians 4:32; James 5:16; Galatians 6:2; Romans 15:7; Hebrews 3:13; Romans 12:10; Ephesians 4:11-13)
8. By God’s grace, I will always humble myself before God---telling Him that I am totally dependent on Him, that I need Him in every area of my life, and that without Him, I can do nothing good.

God will forgive me just I have forgiven those who sinned against me.
(Matthew 4:17; 5:4; I John 1:9; Matthew 6:12-15)
10. By God’s grace, I will daily walk in meekness---not retaliating or taking revenge against those who provoke me or hurt me---so that I inherit the earth.
Instead, I will love my enemies, bless those who curse me, do good to those who hate me, and pray for those who persecute me.
(Matthew 5:5; Psalm 37:1-11; Matthew 5:44 NKJ)
11. By God’s grace, I will daily hunger and thirst after His righteousness.
I will seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, so that all things I need will be added unto me.
I will obey all the commands of Jesus and show myself to be a true disciple of Jesus.
I will walk by the Spirit so that I will not carry out the desires of my flesh, my old nature.
I will hate what God hates: idolatry and witchcraft; sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage; selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
(Matthew 6:6; Matthew 6:33; John 8:31; 14:15; 21, 23; Matthew 28:19-20; Proverbs 6:16; Psalm 97:10; Galatians 5:16; 19-21)

(Matthew 5:7; Exodus 22:21; Isaiah 1:17; Isaiah 58:6-7; 9-10; Luke 4:18-19)
13. By God’s grace, I will daily keep my heart pure and full of faith.
I will set my mind on things above, not on earthly things, on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy.
By repentance, I will daily purify myself from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
I will daily read God’s word and build my faith in Him, so that I will see His glory.
(Matthew 5:8; James 1:8; 4:8; Philippians 4:8; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Romans 10:17; John 11:40)
14. By God’s grace, I will daily live as a peacemaker, always making peace between God and man and between man and man.
I will share the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven at all times with all men so that they can have peace with God.
I will strictly follow Matthew 18:15-17 to solve every dispute between myself and others and between sisters and brothers in the Church, so that we keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.(Matthew 5:9; Mark 16:15; Romans 5:1; Matthew 18:15-17; 1 Corinthians 5:3-5; Ephesians 4:3)
15. I will daily rejoice and be glad when men insult me, persecute me, and say falsely all kinds of evil against me because of righteousness, for great is my reward in heaven.
I will always acknowledge Jesus before all men and not deny Him.
(Matthew 5:10-12; 10:32-33)
16. I will be a servant and a slave to all, just as Jesus came to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.
I will serve God faithfully in a local church, and never give up serving God and men, so that the Church grows to the maturity of Christ.
(Matthew 20:26-28; Ephesians 4:11-13)
17. As a good steward of the manifold grace of God, I will use whatever gift I have received to serve others.
I will pay my tithes to support the work of God.
I will sow generously as the Holy Spirit leads me, giving cheerfully and willingly, so that all grace and blessings will abound and multiply in my life.
(1 Peter 4:10; Hebrews 7:8; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
18. I will not become weary in doing good.
At every opportunity, I will do good to all men, especially to the family of believers.
In this way I will let my light and glory shine, so that men may see my good works and give glory to my Father in heaven.
(Galatians 6:9-10; Isaiah 60:1; Matthew 5:16)
