2. LAPTOP LOST AND RECOVERED 5 HOURS LATER
Brother SC: "I misplaced my laptop in a toilet behind a coffee house, and God helped me to recover it 5 hours later."
"Yesterday, the Youth Fellowship leaders met in the morning at a coffee house in Pulau Tikus, to plan for the year end's camp.
When we finished the meeting at 2PM, I went to the toilet, and left my laptop on the sink there."
"I then sent some of the youth home, did some errands, and had dinner with my wife.
I finally set down to prepare the songs for Sunday Worship, and it was then that I realized that I had left my laptop in the toilet behind the coffeehouse where we had met earlier that morning.
"I prayed and asked the Lord to help me to recover the lap top.
By faith I began to thank Him for restoring it to me.
"As I drove with my wife to the coffee house, half an hour's drive away, I had to keep my heart and mind focused on Jesus and His goodness, by singing praises to God.
I continued to declare that my laptop will not be lost but will be found and be restored to me.
"When I arrived, I rushed to the toilet---it was a common toilet behind all the coffee houses.
My laptop was not there.
As I left the toilet, the security guard came to meet me and asked me what I was doing in that place.
I told him about my laptop and described the model to him.
He said, 'Come with me, I have your laptop in the guard house.'
"He then told me, 'I was doing my guard patrol this afternoon when I saw a toilet door closed.
It was still closed on my next round.
I was concerned that something bad might have happened inside the toilet, so I went to open the door, and there I saw your laptop.'
"I believe that an angel of God caused the toilet door to be closed, so that it drew the attention of the guard on patrol, and kept away others.
I thank God for using an honest guard to recover my laptop and to keep it for me.
If another person had entered the toilet where my laptop was placed, it may not have been restored to me."
"To God be the glory for His amazing mercy and grace!
"He is a good God!!!"
COMMENTS (Brother Andrew)
1. Between the prayer for the miracle and the actual manifestation (in this case, about half an hours drive from the house to Pulau Tikus), we must remember to focus on God's goodness and to thank Him constantly for the miracle.
2. Do not allow fear to grip you by not imagining that the laptop will be taken away and not be recovered.
Fear allows the devil to take away our blessings.
This happened to Peter when he was walking on the water.
He turned his eyes and fixed them on the wind and the waves, and not on Jesus our Deliverer, and as a result, he began to sink. (Matthew 14:30).
3. Fear will nullify your faith and cause your miracle to be stolen by the devil.
Job said, "What I fear most has happened to me" (Job 3:25).
Shalom.
