PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND DECREES---18
I LOVE MY NEIGHBOURS AS MYSELF
1. Jesus said, “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
Therefore, I will love my neighbour as I love myself.
I will have compassion on my neighbours and share with them the Good News of the Kingdom of Heaven.
I will pray that their sins are remitted and cancelled, for Jesus has died for the sins of the whole world.
I will pray that they will receive dreams and visions of Jesus, repent and receive Jesus as their Saviour.
(Matthew 22:39; Mark 16:15; John 20:23; 1 Timothy 2:1-6; Acts 2:17; 37-38)
2. I will show mercy to the poor and needy.
I will seek justice for the oppressed and afflicted.
I will care for the widows and the fatherless.
I will be kind to the foreigners in the land.
(Deuteronomy 15:7-8; Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27; Leviticus 19:34)
3. If I can understand all knowledge and mysteries, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
If I give all I possessed to the poor, and surrender my body to be burnt, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Therefore, I will love all men, in and outside the Church, for love is the fulfilling of the Law of Christ.
(1 Corinthians 13:1-3; Romans 13:10; Galatians 6:2)
4. I will be patient and kind towards all men.
I will not be easily angered with anyone.
I will not keep a record of their wrongs.
I will forgive them and do good to them.
If my enemy is hungry, I will feed him.
If he is thirsty, I will give him something to drink.
(1 Corinthians 13:4-5; Mark 11:25; Luke 6:27; Romans 12:20)
5. I will not boast before men, taking glory away from God.
I will not be a proud man who look down on others.
I will not be rude to others or dishonour them in any way.
I will not speak evil of them behind their backs, in chat groups, in emails, or in social media.
Instead, I will always be gentle to all men, and speak words of blessings and grace over their lives.
(Romans 12:16; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7; Ephesians 4:29-32; Colossians 4:6)
6. I will not be self-seeking, only looking out for my own interests.
Instead, I will regard others as more important than myself, and always look out for the interests of others.
(1 Corinthians 13:5; Philippians 2:3-4)
7. Jesus has said, “Love one another as I have loved you. By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
I will therefore love my brethren as Christ has loved us.
Just as Christ laid down His life for me, so will I also lay down my life for my brothers and sisters.
(John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16)
8. We will forgive one another, accept one another, care for one another, serve one another and help one another.
We will encourage one another, build up one another, and pray for one another.
We will speak blessings over one another, and carry one another’s burdens.
(Ephesians 4:32; Romans 15:7; Galatians 5:13; 6:2; Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; 1 Corinthians 14:26; James 5:16; Matthew 5:44; Galatians 6:2)
9. We will not reject or despise a brother or sister.
We will not condemn or judge anyone in the family of God.
We will not grumble against them, curse them or ridicule them.
(1 Thessalonians 4:8; Romans 15:7; Luke 6:37; James 2:1-6; 3:9-10; 5:9)
10. We will not bring up the past life of anyone.
For in Christ, we are all new creations.
The old life has gone, a new life has come.
All our past sins have been washed away by the blood of Jesus.
And God remembers our sins no more.
We will therefore not bring up the past sins of anyone in the body of Christ.
(2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 8:12)
11. We will maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Therefore, we will not provoke one another or encourage division and strife.
We will get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, all malice and deceit, all jealousy and envy, all rebellion and selfish ambition.
Instead, we will be a friend to everyone, we will be peace-loving, considerate and gentle, and be reasonable and submissive to those in authority, and be impartial and sincere.
(Ephesians 4:3, 31; James 3:16-17)
In Jesus’ name. Amen.
"Yehovah is good, His love endures forever!"
