A classroom website can make your life easier. Of course, it can also give you something else you have to manage. If you are thinking about creating and using a website, spend some time looking at other classroom/teacher websites to help you see the type of things you'll want to include.
Some questions you might want to consider:
1. What is the purpose of my website? Do I want my site to be informative, interactive, permanent, evolving, instructional, student-focused, teacher-directed, or a combination of any of these?
2. Where will my site be hosted?
3. What program do I want to use to create my pages, or would I rather use an existing application and templates?
4. How much time do I want to spend creating and maintaining my website?
5. Who will have access to the site? Who will be able to edit the information?
