What is Homoeopathy? معلومات عامہ
Homoeopathy is a branch of medicine originated in Germany in 1794, which is based on the principle of The Law of Similars. In a way, it is an advanced form of vaccination; whereby a substance which is capable of producing a disease like state is administered to the patient, but in a very minute dose, to cure the similar disease. Homoeopathy works much beyond vaccination. Here, the dose administered is unbelievably miniscule, which renders if absolutely harmless yet very powerful. Contrary to the conventional medicine, the action of homeopathy is much safer, deeper acting, somewhat slower, and results much longer lasting by energizing the body's curative powers. Homoeopathy is amongst the youngest and latest medicines calling for more research and promotion. There are theories on how exactly homeopathic medicine works. As supported in major clinical trials and in practice, it is believed to be working by stimulating body's own healing mechanisms

How long can I be expect to be in homoeopathic treatment?
The duration of the treatment in chronic diseases always depends on how long the problem existed. As a general rule of thumb after 6 - 8 weeks of homoeopathic treatment improvement should be noticeable.
How long should I wait until improvement in acute diseases sets in
For infections (cold, flu, etc.), traumas and much more only a short consultation is necessary and improvement should be felt within the next 1-2 hrs (or quicker) after taking the remedy. Another consultation on the phone is often needed when symptoms change on the road to recovery.
Homoeopathy and conventional treatment - can I combine the two?
Generally - yes. For example a broken leg has to be looked after in a hospital but to aid the healing process and to reduce the pain a homoeopathic remedy will help. Homoeopathy also has much to offer as a treatment after necessary operations to get you back on track faster and without any debilitating after effects. Even after being diagnosed with a life long illness it is always a good idea to look for alternative treatment.
How can I assist within my treatment?
Successful treatment is generally a two way effort. To assist within your treatment self observation is of utmost importance. Before you come for your consultation ask yourself the following questions:
-
Where are the symptoms located / where does it hurt?
-
When did I feel the symptoms for the first time?
-
When or what changes the symptoms?
-
How do I feel in general (mood etc.)
-
Have my sleeping, eating, drinking habits changed?
-
Do I experience any other discomforts the same time my complaint occurs?
-
What is unusual?
